Second Flush tea in nylon pyramid tea bags
Owned by Jayashree Tea & Industries, Birla owned conglomerate. The company recently acquired Marianbari Tea Estate in Dooars region (producing 6.5 lakh kg of high quality tea), thus taking total number of tea estates in its fold to 20. Marianbari Tea Estate is located just west of Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary which is well known for the idylic green forests and beautiful wildlife including the famous one horned Indian Rhino of Assam.
This green tea from Marianbari estate produces a very light yellowish green liquor. Don;t let the black appearance of the dried leaves fool you! This is as green as a tea gets. Steeping the leaf for about a minute in hotwater will quickly unfurl it to present the beautiful light green color. The leaves are very soft and supple to touch when wet.
Steep the nylon tea pod for about one minute in water that has been heated to 167 degrees Fahrenheit or 75 degree centigrade
